Reversible data hiding based on histogram and prediction error for sharing secret data

Abstract With the advancement of communication technology, a large number data are constantly transmitted through internet for various purposes, which prone to be illegally accessed by third parties. Therefore, securing such is crucial protect information from falling into wrong hands. Among protection schemes, Secret Image Sharing one most popular methods. It protects critical messages or embedding them in an image and sharing it with some users. Furthermore, combines security concepts that private embedded cover then secured using secret-sharing method. Despite its advantages, this method may produce noise, making resulting stego file much different cover. Moreover, size can limited. This research works on these problems utilizing prediction-error expansion histogram-based approaches embed data. To recover image, SS based Chinese remainder theorem used. The experimental results indicate proposed performs better than similar methods several images scenarios.
